2001 "Video" Vintage Report

Since the early 80's we've kept detailed reports on every German vintage.  In the beginning our notes were only recorded on paper, while in the mid 80's we began to transfer them to a computer, and by the late 90's we were taking notes on a laptop.  The reports followed the same general outline each year (more or less), they just became easier to edit with the computer.  Our idea was always simple, give customers a background and feel for the vintage.  You will find text versions of vintage reports dating back to 1987 under the tasting notes section of our web page.

With the recent advances in technology we thought it might be interesting to take our concept a step further.  Again the idea was simple, deliver a short background about the vintage, only this time do it with technology and have the winemaker speak directly to the customer.  Below you will find these vintage report "video" clips from each of our estates.   These video clips (mpeg files) are 30 seconds to 1 minute in length.  Some clips are a little dark, and we've kept the files small so they download quickly, actual screen size is only about 1.5" x 1.5".

 If you have a high speed internet connection (cable or DSL)  downloads will be almost instantaneous.  If you are using a 56K connection, expect each download to take 1 to 2 minutes.
